Phased renovation of an old rural estate in Algaida, with several centuries of history. The intervention is conceived as a gradual and respectful process, in tune with the building’s own rhythm and with the cumulative logic of this type of rural architecture.
Each phase introduces functional and spatial improvements without altering the essence of the whole, enhancing the original materials —stone walls, timber beams, vaults and traditional flooring— and adapting them to contemporary use. Outdoor spaces, porches and sitting areas are naturally integrated into the agricultural landscape surrounding the estate.
The result is a home that evolves over time, consolidating itself as a serene rural retreat where tradition, comfort and everyday life coexist naturally.
