This project involves the renovation of a traditional home in the historic district to create a spa and wellness center. The project posed a demanding technical challenge, as it required balancing strict adherence to the preservation of a protected historic building with the installation of complex systems typical of a state-of-the-art hammam. The project paid special attention to the design and engineering of humidity control, constant air renewal through forced ventilation, the waterproofing of the building envelope, and the long-term durability of the finishes within an extremely sensitive heritage setting. The final result balances the original structural integrity with the precision of contemporary systems, creating serene spaces dedicated to personal care where overhead light and fine materials enhance the architecture.
