Ca’s Catalá House

Comprehensive renovation of a single-family house on the seafront, shaped by its location within a coastal protection zone, which required the existing volume to be fully preserved.
The project works from the interior and the building envelope to completely transform the house, optimising its relationship with the sea and the views while endowing it with a new spatial and material quality. La intervención busca abrir los espacios, ordenar los recorridos y potenciar la entrada de luz, manteniendo al mismo tiempo una imagen exterior coherente con su contexto. The rooftop swimming pool was one of the project’s most distinctive features.
Its privileged location —with direct access to Cala de Ca’s Catalá and adjacent to Hotel Maricel— reinforces the singular character of the intervention, resolved through an architecture that is restrained, precise and oriented towards the landscape.
