Esparraguera

New-build single-family house conceived as a composition of volumes that adapt to the topography and the existing trees.
The house was designed as a complement to the dwelling located at 25 Esparraguera Street, also designed by the same architect, Fernando Salvá. Conditioned by this circumstance, the proposal was developed so that the highest part of the building would not obstruct the views from the house behind.
The project is fragmented into different volumes that unfold across the site, generating cross-relations between interior, exterior and landscape. Large glazed surfaces and intermediate spaces allow for a continuous connection with the surroundings, while more enclosed elements provide privacy and climatic control.
The architecture combines a contemporary language with a restrained and precise material palette, where the lightness of the volumes and their horizontality reinforce the building’s integration into the site.
